Sara Errani sails into semifinals of the French Open 2013!

French Open 2012 runner-up Sara Errani took out fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4, 7-6 to reach the semifinals of the Roland Garros 2013.

The fifth-seeded Italian needed 1 hour and 51 minutes to thump Radwanska in straight sets.

The first set headed neck to neck until the Italian broke her Polish counterpart to take a 5-3 lead,  following which she snatched the first set 6-4.

In the second set, both the players broke each other several times. Errani relied on long rallies while Radwanska opted for defensive techniques. Errani broke Radwanska to go 5-4 up but couldn't hold her serve to seal the match. Thereafter, both the players held their serves to throw the set into the tie-breaker.

Errani kept herself calm throughout and eventually went on to take the set 7-6 and ultimately sealed herself a semifinal birth at this prestigious tournament.

The French Open has certainly been the favourite tournament of Sara Errani, who can make spontaneous amendments in her tactics to tame any of her opponent.
