Prakash Amritraj qualifies for the main draw of Nottingham Challenger!

Former Indian Davis Cup player, Prakash Amritraj has made it into the main draw of the Aegon Trophy Challenger in Nottingham, Great Britain.

Prakash Amritraj destroyed Alexander Jhun of Germany 6-2, 6-0 in the first qualifying round. This was a beatdown in the opening match by the talented Indian.

In the second round of qualifiers, Prakash Amritraj stunned top seed Dustin Brown 6-2, 6-1 in straight sets. This win has been regarded as one of the best wins of Amritraj's career by the pundits. Dustin Brown, ranked as high as no. 191 in the world, had no clue against his lower-ranked counterpart.

Prakash Amritraj, ranked no. 314 in the world, took out Australian Greg Jones 7-6, 4-6, 6-1 in a gruelling three-setter to qualify for the main draw of the ATP Challenger event.

With this, Amritraj has gained 5 ATP ranking points. The winner of the tournament gets €64,000. Also, the winner accumulates 90 ATP points and the runner-up earns 55 ATP points.

Should be a good tournament for the Indian, who has been hitting at his beat these days.
